Web Search Engine Optimization – Why it is Needed

More than 95% of the blogs/websites on the net is virtually idle with very little or no visitors at all. Is it because of the poor content quality? Or poor layout design? No! Many of those idled websites/blogs have excellent quality and professionally designed layout. But still, no visitor! Why? Mainly because nobody knows its existence!

However good a blog/website is, without visitors it is virtually useless. Nobody can get benefits of the top class information/product it offers. And the author/owner of that website/blog will also get nothing. Their energy

make more money

Google and other major search engines do not raise your page rank, because Twitter ads a “nofollow” attribute to all links there.

So the only way how you can make more money from Twitter marketing is the added number of visitors, which also affects your Alexa figures, excluding one search engine.

1. Create Keyword Rich Shortened Links For The Search Engines.

Because Twitter links do not increase the SEPR, we have to use other methods to make more money from Twitter. Is there any?

Yes, the answer can be found from the shortened links structure. When you can add a keyword or even two into the shortened link, it gets the real SEO power.

When you add the keyword into the url, Twitter takes account it with its search results. Actually according to the done tests, the keyword in the shortened URL gives a huge possibility to rank high in the Twitter own search results. And this means more chances to make more money with the help of Twitter.

2. How You Can Get A Branded Shortened URL?

This is a key method to succeed with the Twitter search engine optimization. My recommendation is that you go to 9mp.com, because it offers stats, free usage and vanity urls, but also a chance to brand your url with any sub domain you wish for free.

This url includes two more keywords, which are both extra ones, to do more powerful SEO job at Twitter.

3. Only One Search Engine Counts The Twitter Links For Higher Page Rank.

That is Ask.com., which has about 2,5 percentage point share of the search market, which means about 250 million searches per month. Is this enough for your small business?

You need all the SEO channels, so this means more chances to make more money. By the way, the search engines give the linking value to the real url, not to the tiny URL.

Although Twitter is a social media and, excluding Ask.com, it has no direct SEO value concerning SEPRs, it has other indirect values.

It will bring lots of visitors to your landing page, I mean real people, not search engine spiders, and this increases your Alexa figures. Usage data means quality to the biggest search engine, Google, and to other search engines, and this is an honest SEO advantage.

You do not do the Twitter marketing for seach engines, because they do not buy anything, but they can help you a lot if you do the SEO things right with your tweets. And of course we never write to the crawlers but to real people.

There are also other things to consider, like your username, which will become a part of your customized Twitter url. Your biography is a very important brand builder and the optimization means that it will be indexed.

With every Tweet you have only 140 characters in use. The title takes about 42 characters including the account name, as well as the initial characters to each tweet.

From the SEO point of view the beginning of each tweet is important. Now you have to pick your SEO keywords wisely, so that the search engines, especially Google, will attribute those to your overall online branding.

Twitter, like other social media sites, will increasingly influence on the SEO industry, so you better to learn the Twitter search engine optimization right away!

A Dummies Guide to Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

This guide is written not from a perspective of an industry insider, but is instead aimed at a layman. Rather than getting bogged down in the intricacies of writing code to positively influence search engines, this article will take a step back from that and concentrate on the history of this discipline as well as some theory.

To start off with lets give a reason why Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should matter to you. Lets say you are a small business that is selling shoes. You invest a couple of thousand dollars in a competently designed website. Your website is published but you receive no visitors and visitors equal money because they will hopefully be buying your shoes.

So in order to get visitors to your website you write a list about how you will publicize it.

At number one on the list is paying for advertising space in the print media, whether national or local publications, or niche magazines. Advertising

Except you are not an online business owner or product marketer; other wise you should be very familiar with the term Search Engine Optimization. There is no much difference between the method used in pulling potential customers in offline business and that of online business. It’s just that the later is done electronically and therefore uses more complex and strategic forms in accomplishing the same purpose. It is all about the online merchandisers striving to occupy top pages in the results of the natural search engines. What Your Business Stands To Gain

Good search engine optimization avails an online business unspeakable commercial advantages that are numerous. The effect of SEO on the earnings of an online business is usually substantial. It is the top traffic puller to a business website.

However, for search engine optimization to achieve the desired result of pulling massive traffic; your website must be in conformity with the same language used by your clients and potential clients when they use the search engines. Search Engine Optimization Training – Two Quick and Basic SEO Tips

When it comes to succeeding in the realm of search engine optimization training, everything returns to link popularity and volume. However, there are more efficient ways to go about this. Some of these methods might be a little involved and complicated and then there are those very simple tips that provide a great help in maximizing SEO success. Of these tips there are two very, very simple tips that most people miss when looking to boost their search engine rankings. Perhaps, it is time to take a look at them.

Selecting the right link name when you build your links is critical as well, and is all part of your search engine optimization training. This means you have to select a link name that will match what people will type into the search engines. For example, if you have a website on Science-Fiction books called “The Interstellar Domain” you do not want to name you links “The Interstellar Doman”. This is because that is not what people will type in the search engines when they want to look up information on science-fiction books. They will type in…. you guessed it….”science fiction books” or something to that effect. So, if you name your links science-fiction books, sc-fi books, etc you will have better luck with your SEO ventures.

Another helpful tip that is often overlooked involves launching an SEO campaign as soon as the website is published. The mistake make people make is they will wait several weeks – or more – to start their link building. This is a tactical error because the spiders do not crawl for links the day the links appear. It may take several months for the spiders to crawl the web to log the links. Any needless delay in circulating links on the web will significantly delay gaining any SEO benefits. This is why it is critical to start your link building from day one. Over time you will continue to grow in your search engine optimization training. As search engine algorithms change so will your search engine optimization training. Be versatile, keep learning and you will succeed with SEO.

Internet Marketing Search Engine Optimization How To’s

Internet marketing search engine optimization is not all about keywords and back links, but these are the two items that have the biggest effect on your search engine position, and the two things that you have the most control over. Many new businesses or new website owners make the mistake of only optimizing their websites. However, internet marketing search engine optimization is just as important.

The first thing to do is make sure your site is optimized. Internet marketing optimization won’t do you much good if your site is not optimized first. Your keyword should be in the URL, but if that is not possible at this stage you can use it in the title, content, and file names. If you have already done this, you are one step ahead, and can no use the exact same techniques in your IM campaigns.

There are two main steps to successful internet marketing:

1. Use keyword or keyword phrases in your online marketing pieces, including online classifieds, articles, banner ads, and social networking posts.

2. Only use web sites that have a high page rank of four or better for your internet marketing. This goes for article directories, online classifieds, and web directories.

Once you have mastered these two items, you will find that your online marketing becomes more visible in the search engines than your website or the websites of your competitors. This is because the search engines pull content from the highest page ranks first. You will also be able to increase your own page rank because you will be creating quality back links.

Search Engine Optimization Rules – Three Rules to Help You Top the Search Engine Rankings

Search engine optimization is probably the most important aspect of website development.

Why is Search Engine Optimization Important – 5 Ways

So, you’ve built a website. Join the club. There are millions like you who have collectively built billions of web pages. And you can bet that they all, like you, would love more traffic coming to their sites each day. So, what can you do?

Well, you can always pay for traffic. This is actually an excellent option, but anybody who has done it before will tell you that paid search (SEM) is no walk in the park. Unless you have some serious skills or have someone else managing it for you, SEM often shows a negative ROI. So, where does that leave you? With search engine optimization, or SEM.

If you are asking, “Why is search engine optimization important,” here are 5 ways:

1. Getting visits requires active promotion:

At last count (by the folks that count these types of things), there are hundreds of millions of websites and billions of web pages out on the Internet. In general, the only ways that they can be visited are the following four ways:

a. direct URL input (somebody enters a web address/URL directly into their browser, which of course means they have to already know that URL)

b. a referral from another website (such as a directory site, or someone posting backlinks to your site)

c. paid traffic (e.g., ads, see above)

d. being found on a search engine

If you are looking to be found on search engines, you will need to actively promote your site. There is really no other way to be found, except for maybe in the cases whereby someone is searching for your name or company name, or if they are doing an exact search (using quotation marks) for a specific bit of text that they know resides on your site.

2. SEO is an important alternative or complement to paid traffic:

While paid traffic (or SEM) can be a great solution, it is very costly. And, it has no long term effect, meaning that with paid traffic, once you turn it off, it’s off. However, a good SEO campaign, in tandem with a strong SEM campaign, can pack a winning punch for getting more traffic to your site.

3. It’s something you can build over time:

SEO is great because you can do a little bit each day, building traffic to your site over time. I like to think of time spent on it as an investment. Looking for returns on this investment after a month or two is not going to be satisfying, but looking at the mid-to-long term you will see strong returns on the investment of your time and money.

4. You can do it yourself or get an expert to help you:

SEO is something that anyone can do. Of course, if you or your company have the budget, getting the help of an expert will save you time, money and wasted effort in the long run. An expert will know how to help you select the right keywords for which to optimize your site.

5. What you learn during SEO can feed back to your marketing and strategic efforts:

Doing search engine optimization work for your company (or calling in an outside expert) is a wonderful opportunity to come to terms with many of those nagging branding and messaging questions that you may have been avoiding. In other words, by writing about, thinking about and otherwise spending time on your company’s website and its content, you will be able to feed back much of what you learned during that discovery process to your strategic and marketing efforts in general.

Search engine optimization is important for a number of reasons. If you are looking to solidify your company’s branding/messaging, build a long-term asset, and have a strong alternative to paid search, I strongly recommend you give SEO a try.

Search Engines is all about keywords; you make use of words or phrases to look for information on the World Wide Web. But if you are the ones implementing Search Engine Optimization then you better make use of search terms that is commonly used by the online public if you want to achieve a high traffic value on your site.

You can also do it slowly by checking out some sites, like those on the upper ranks of search engines, and try to find out what keywords they used to achieve a high placement on result pages.

Link building is an essential part of SEO and is one way of giving your site the coverage and presence it needs on the World Wide Web. There are plenty of ways to start with link building. You can make a blog and fill it up with informative posts with the link of your main site on specific terms embedded into the content. Register to social bookmarking communities and start saving links after links of your page to make it accessible to everyone who is looking for the right information to use to their benefit. Typo Search Engine Optimization – Can Your Visitors Spell?

How many times have you misspelled a word when searching for something on Google or whatever your favorite search engine is? A lot of online searchers tend to do this regularly. It’s not that we can’t spell. Oftentimes we just accidentally hit the wrong letter on the keyboard; sometimes the term we’re looking for is too weird and so on. No matter how you look at it, misspelled keywords are a significant source of traffic and a tempting opportunity for Search Engine Optimization.

Misspelled keywords tend to be less competitive then their correctly spelled brothers but often feature impressive search stats. That makes many website promoters go after typos with their SEO campaigns. However, there’re certain things about this optimization method you need to be aware of before you jump on the wagon and set the target at the common misspelling in your niche.

Traffic Data for Misspelled Keywords Is Not Reliable

Whenever you type a word into the search box incorrectly Google will set you on the right path with the help of a ‘did you mean…’ hint. A large part of users including myself will refine the search with the right spelling without even looking at the search results for the misspelled keyword. The other group of users however will click through to the sites listed in the results for the typo. It’s really hard to tell the exact proportion of users that actually rely on the SERPs for incorrectly spelled searches. When you analyze the traffic data for typo keywords in Google AdWords Keyword Tool, Wordtracker or other SEO tools you can divide the number of searches you see in half with no hesitation and you’ll wind up with a more true-to-life picture.

Typos vs Correct Spellings

When you optimize for an incorrect spelling you may sacrifice part of your ranking power for the correctly spelled keywords. Keep that in mind when going for typos with your SEO and do this wisely and only when the game’s really worth the candles.

Typos in Your Content Undermine Your Authority

People don’t like seeing typos on a website. That’s why optimizing for common misspellings is a tricky thing to do. On the one hand you want to tap into the users who are searching for an incorrectly spelled keyword; on the other hand you don’t want your visitors to see these SEO typos in your content because this would result in poor user experience, undermine your authority as an expert in the subject and may adversely affect the conversions.

There are a number of ways to optimize your website for misspelled keywords without having to level off the quality of your content:

- Use the misspelled keywords in meta descriptions, alt tags and other page elements that are not visible on your website to the human visitors. This way the search engines will rank you higher for the misspelled terms and visitors will be happily reading a correctly spelled copy.

- Target typos in the anchor texts when building links for your website.

- Use your blog. If you have a blog you can throw in a couple of misspelled words there, because blogs tend to be much less formal and an occasional typo is ok if you use it strategically.

- Run a Pay-Per-Click campaign for the misspelled keywords. Although this is not quite a Search Engine Optimization technique, a PPC ad will enable you to target common misspellings without having to sacrifice anything on your website.
